3  full celery sticks, chopped
2  15.5 oz can of light red kidney beans
2  15.5 oz can of dark red kidney beans
2  tsp cumin
1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
1/2 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
3  greens onions, finely chopped
2 pounds of ground beef, we use 85/15  lean

2 tsp Hot Joey's seasoning salt
*If you want a little kick with smoke add 2 tsp Hot Joey's smoked serrano powder

Thoroughly cook  ground meat in pan.  Drain & set aside. Add puree to Crockpot, followed by chopped celery & onions.  Drain the kidney beans, rinse beans under cold water and add to the Crockpot.  Stir in the ground meat & add cumin, stirring for 2 minutes.  Slow cook it on low for about an hour, then add Hot Joey’s Mild sauce and stir.  Stir well, every hour.  After chili is done, serve in bowls, add some cheese or spice it up with Hot Joey’s Red Crushed Pepper or hot sauces.

**For a little extra heat, add 2oz of Hot Joey’s Mild Sauce to the chili.  If you want a little smoke flavor, add 1 tsp of Hot Joey’s Smoked Serrano powder. Now, if you want a lot of heat, add either 3oz Hot Joey’s Hot Sauce or 3oz Hot Joey’s Marinade.

Nick’s Hot Veggie-Beef Soup

32 oz Chef’s Cupboard Beef Broth (found at Aldi’s)

2 cups water
¼ cup chopped green onions
¼ cup finely chopped green peppers
½ cup finely chopped carrots
½ cup finely chopped celery
2oz Hot Joey’s Mild sauce-for HOT, use less if desired

Chop all veggies and set aside.  Pour beef broth into 4 quart pot and add water.  Combine veggies and hot sauce to broth & cook on medium/low heat for 30 minutes.  When veggies are soft, soup is ready.

"This soup is excellent when you have a cold!  When my son made it, I was surprised he actually ate it (he’s quite picky), but he really liked it…maybe because he made it from start to finish.  The nice feature about our mild sauce, for me, is that it’s hot but the heat doesn’t overpower my taste buds. I like spicy foods, but I also like to taste the actual ingredients I’ve put in my recipe!" -Julie

Hot Joey's Giardiniera Relish Cream Cheese Dip

1 (16 oz)(full jar) Hot Joey's Hot/Mild Giardiniera Relish
2 (8 oz) cream cheese

Take 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese and bring to room temperature about 30 minutes so it's soft.  Next, use 1 full 16oz jar of Hot/Mild Giardiniera Relish, or if you like olives use the Hot/Mild Muffuletta. Dump the jar in a strainer to get all the oil out, approximately 30 minutes. Mix with the cream cheese and voila! Serve with crackers, chips, or whatever you like best!
**If you'd like to change it up, use our Hot Joey's Hot or Mild Giardiniera  to create a nice creamy spread. If you like to make a smaller batch of the giardiniera cream cheese mix cut the servings in half.
